4th European Congress on Endometriosis will be held on September 20 - 23, 2018 in Antalya, Turkey

Dear Colleagues,

It is with great pleasure we announce the 4th European Congress of Endometriosis which will take place on 20-23 September 2018 in Antalya, Turkey. The congress promises an exciting programme and will be a great opportunity to present and discuss the latest developments related to endometriosis, adenomyosis and benign gynecological disorders.

The organising committee plans to cover all relevant aspects of endometriosis and adenomyosis including pathogenesis, genetics/epigenetics, diagnosis, infertility/reproductive outcomes, endometriosis in adolescents and  menopause, endometriosis and cancer, surgery, imaging techniques, and pelvic pain. We will together explore the latest developments in basic science, surgery, medical treatments and complementary therapies that may improve the quality of life of women with endometriosis and encourage clinicians and scientists to design new studies. A number of pre-congress courses will be offered to facilitate advanced skill development in the surgical treatment of endometriosis, management of pelvic pain, infertility, imaging, neural therapy, contraception and menopause. Furthermore, there will be transmission of live surgery and  an industry and a poster exhibition.

The European Endometriosis League (EEL) was founded in 2005 with the aim of providing a platform for all affected by endometriosis and to increase awareness. It also serves as a platform for patient self-support groups and public educational projects. The League is the oldest and largest European society focusing mainly on endometriosis but also covering other important  co-existing gynaecological conditions such as adenomyosis,  fibroids, bleeding disorders and polyps. The League is the oldest and largest European society focusing mainly on endometriosis but also covering other important co-existing gynaecological conditions such as adenomyosis, fibroids, bleeding disorders and polyps. We are proud to be a part of this lively and growing community with many volunteers who actively support projects like the online “expert opinion” (for more information see the homepage) and many other Europe-wide awareness events. As a very successful initiative, the EEL started the first certification programme for “European Endometriosis Centers of Excellence” with more than 100 centers that have already been certified after fulfilling the requirements. The main goal of certification is to build up a network of specialised centres thus enabling optimal treatment of endometriosis through endometriosis experts within reach and highlighting the importance of therapeutic guidelines. Furthermore, the EEL regularly brings active care providers together and facilitate information exchange through meetings such as the congress which will take place in Antalya.

The EEL Congress in Antalya will provide a fascinating scientific atmosphere to participants from all around the world as well as giving an opportunity to see the town of Antalya on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea with its natural beauty and historical sites.

We look forward to seeing you in Antalya at the 4th European Congress of Endometriosis.

With our best wishes,
